Purple RhapsodyA kiss on the cheek from a passing cloud... September 14 Next CD already?Hi,
Believe it or not, plans for the next Purple Rhapsody CD are already under way.
I've been quite busy getting some demo tracks recorded to give me a feel for how the CD is going to be structured and it's going to be a bit 'retro' or maybe even 'conceptual'.
There's going to be one long track, approaching 30 minutes in length, with recurring themes taking the listener on a voyage through an imaginary landscape. The word 'Soundscape' springs to mind but I'm starting to think that might be a bit too cheesy
The rest of the CD will be made up of individual tracks with their own thematic development and arrangements.
So - there you have it!
Cheers,
Terry.
PS: Thanks to all the people that have listened to Winter Sun on soundclick - it's made it to the Top 50. Please please please please please keep listening to it so it can stay on the chart for longer. Cheers! August 30 New CD - Transient EmotionsTransient Emotions - the debut album from Purple Rhapsody - is now easily available worldwide from CD Baby.
At this moment I'd like to thank everyone that's shown an interest in my music so far. Having positive feedback means more to me than everything else in my life (except the one special person - you know who you are!).
August 08 Welcome to Purple RhapsodyHello and welcome to the Purple Rhapsody Live Space! This is the first public exposure of the music of Purple Rhapsody. Purple Rhapsody is one person, Terry Robinson... and that's me! I've been writing music on and off for 25 years and I've finally got to the point where my equipment and resources are good enough that I'm not ashamed to let my music be heard by the world. When I say I've been writing music on and off for the last 25 years it's been mostly 'on' but with a gap of a few years when money was tight and mouths needed to be fed. My music is all original and although it loosely fits into categories such as modern classical, new age, and easy listening I hope you'll agree that it's more than any of those. My influences include (but aren't limited to) Mike Oldfield, Muse, Sugar Ray, Electric Light Orchestra, Rick Wakeman, Keene, Alan Parsons Project, and many more! I plan to keep this blog updated with the progress of my music for the second Purple Rhapsody CD which will be taking form over the next few months. So... this is my music, I hope you enjoy it. I will read all comments sent to webmaster@purplerhapsody.co.uk so please feel free to let me know what you think. Cheers, Terry. |
